Standard check-in time is 2:00PM.

Upon arrival the credit card used to book as well as identification matching the person and name the room was booked under are required. That person must be present on arrival and must be staying at the property. Any use of a third-party credit card must be pre-arranged with the property prior to arrival and authority to use that third-party card must be provided.

Reception is open from 8am daily, 7 days.

For all arrivals outside this time please be sure to contact The Jensen Potts Point team to arrange alternative check-in arrangements.


All guests must vacate their room by 10:00AM on their date of departure.
Departure after this time may incur additional charges. Late check-out under The Jensen Member’s loyalty program is subject to availability and must be arranged prior to 9am on your day of departure.

‘No Fuss’ Housekeeping

If you have booked the ‘No Fuss’ rate type, you will not receive full amenity and linen housekeeping for the duration of your stay. BasicHousekeeping will be provided only in that bin changes will be undertaken daily on the guest’s behalf.Additional fees may be associated with further housekeeping requests.

Clean Atmosphere Policy

In accordance with Australian law, our properties have a strict non-smoking/ non-vaping policy.  If you choose to ignore this policy there may be a minimum $250 charge, plus additional costs associated with restoring the room to its original condition.

Guest House Access

Guests must be 18 years or older, and if not, they must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Only persons registered with the hotel are permitted to access the guest house and rooms, we do not accept visitors. We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest or invitee of a guest.

Late access requests due to lost key cards will incur a fee of up to $50 after 7pm. It is critical you keep your key card with you at all times, keeping this in mind also when leaving your room to access shared guest facilities.

Personal Items

We do not take responsibility for any loss, damage or destruction to any personal property brought onto these premises. Personal property includes any personal effects and motor vehicles.

Internet Policy

Because streaming of videos and skyping can considerably slow down the internet for other users in the house, there may be limitations on streaming videos or skyping while staying at The Jensen Potts Point. We ask you not download any illegal content from the internet during your stay.

Transport and Parking 

Bicycle’s must not be brought into rooms. 24 hour parking allotments are available for additional fee, please see Guest Services.


Jensen Members
The JensenMembers Program is offered at the sole discretion of TheJensen Potts Point as per the website;

Program membership is available to individuals (“you”) as stated in these terms and conditions. Only one membership can be maintained by you at anytime. Membership is not open to companies or other entities. Membership is free, however a valid email address, first and last name must be given on sign-up at the guest house, or any other location that registration might take place.

The JensenPotts Point reserves the right to suspend, restrict or discontinue this Program outside of 30 days’ written notice to all registered members. In the event that the program is suspended, restricted or discontinued, benefits for all previous reservations made before the official census date will be honoured by the participating guest house.

Terms and Conditions Changes
The JensenPotts Point reserves the right to change, amend or cancel any benefits and/or rewards offered by the Program at any time. In the event that conditions are altered, benefits valid at the time of booking may not be valid under the new terms and conditions.

Data Privacy
By applying for and/or obtaining membership for the Program, or by exercising benefits offered by the Program, you explicitly authorise that your personal information given on registration or during the course of your stay atThe Jensen PottsPoint, will be processed and shared within The MacleayGroup and used for continued membership and brand marketing.

Right of Access to Data
You have the right to access your personal data held in our system at any time. The access must be requested in the form of a written enquiry to TheJensen PottsPoint premise. The Jensen Potts Point reserves the right to further membership benefits and incentives to all Jensen Members, Past andPresent Guests and Promo subscribers in the form of regulated marketing content; unless requested otherwise.

The benefits offered by the Program are only applicable once foreach separate booking made by a member of the Program. Benefits cannot be redeemed for cash or future credit of any amount. Benefits cannot be accrued and are only valid under these terms and conditions for each individual booking separately.

Benefit Conditions
The benefits obtained by you under the Program hold their own specific terms, conditions and interpretations. The instant discount off online rates refers to room charges only and excludes any additional costs incurred during your stay including, but not limited too, room cleaning services and/or cancellation charges. The instant discount is only valid when a booking is made on and the promo code is entered during the booking process; or by phoning the property direct and quoting the promo code. Free wireless internet is valid at The Jensen Potts Point. The best rate guarantee does not apply to package deals or mystery hotel deals on the websites that support this booking method. The lower rate must not be affected by any style of loyalty program including corporate negotiated rates and/or any reward redemption bookings and must still be visible and available at the time of your call. If a best rate guarantee claim does not satisfy the required terms above, the original cancellation policy you booked under will apply to the booking should you wish to keep it. Late check-out time is 12pm. Any bookings made by members of the program are subject to a 48-hour cancellation policy, otherwise the first night of the accommodation will be charged. No booking fees does not include credit card surcharges, which may apply to your booking.

Interpretation of the Program terms and conditions is at the sole discretion of The JensenPotts Point. The Jensen Potts Point reserves the right to add, modify or delete any terms, benefits and/or conditions at any time. Upon check in, the valid credit card that was used to secure the reservation will need to be sighted by our reservations team.

This will be requested along with matching photo identification of the cardholder, and guest checking in.

We accept a current driver license, proof of age card or valid passport.

For guests unable to present both a matching credit card and photo identification we reserve the right to decline check in and access to The Jensen Potts Point.

Visa / MasterCard / American Express incur a 1.5% surcharge per transaction.

We reserve the right to charge and/or pre-authorise your credit card at any time after the booking is made, for any amount, but not more than the total amount of your booking, including any extras. The purpose of the credit card pre-authorisation is to securely guarantee funds for accommodation and incidental charges.
Excessive damage that exceeds expected wear and tear may incur a minimum cleaning or replacement fee of $100and will be at the discretion of management and guest services staff. This will be charged to the credit card provided at time of check-in for incidentals.
If a pre-authorisation is declined, we will request a new credit card number be provided. The new credit card must be in the same name as the booking. If it is not in the same name as the booking, an authority to charge form will need to be completed pursuant to our third-party payment terms.
If no new card is provided within 48 hours of us notifying you, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. If any new card provided is declined, we reserve the right to cancel your booking with no further notice.


Flexi/ Refundable and Membership Standard Room Rates

Full payment will be taken at the time of booking.
Cancellation is free of charge for guests until 2pm, 48 hours prior to check-in. A full refund or house credit is made available to cancellations outside of this time.
For cancellations inside 48 hours of checkin, guests will incur a cancellation fee of equivalent value to the first nights stay. The remaining balance is made available for refund or house credit.
Any booking modifications, including date changes and/or a full cancellation of your booking made after 2pm on the day of arrival will be charged the nightly rate.
Any booking modifications requested after check-in are subject to availability and may be applicable to rate variations.
Payment will be taken upon check-in or prior to your arrival if arriving outside of reception operating hours.

Non-Refundable Promotions and No Housekeeping Rate Types.

Non-Refundable bookings will be charged in full upon booking confirmation.
Cancellations on Non Refundable rate plans booked directly may be eligible for a guest house credit valid for 6 months be it the cancellation is made outside of 48 hours on the day of arrival.
Booking modifications, including date changes are subject to availability and may see applicable fare differences applied.

Non-Refundable Weekly + Monthly Saver Rate Types.

Non-Refundable weekly bookings will be charged in full upon booking confirmation.
If you have booked an extended stay Rate Type, non-refundable terms apply, unless it is cancelled within 24 hours after the booking is made.
Cancellations on Non Refundable rate plans may be eligible for a guest house credit valid for 6 months with the property be it the cancellation is made outside of 48 hours on the day of arrival.
Booking modifications, including date changes are subject to availability and may see applicable fare differences applied. Extended Rate Plan modifications may be reduced however where a reservation falls below 7 nights, the nightly price per night will apply.
Long term monthly stays will be required to pay a min of 2 weeks up front, with the weekly rate payable on the same day each week thereafter.
Weekly and Monthly Saver Stays are non-refundable and cannot be split; these long term price benefits are for consecutive nights only and cannot be used to allocate a nightly costing for extended bookings of lesser than 7 or 28 days.

No Show Policy

Failure to arrive at the property on the booked check-in date will be treated as a no-show and the remainder of the booking will be cancelled. If you have booked a rate eligible for a refund, you will incur a charge for those nights which fall within 48 hours of cancellation. If you have booked any of the Non-Refundable Rates you will be charged the full cost of the booking.

Booking Modifications

For bookings made on all rate plans, modifications are subject to availability and any applicable charges. If a date change is possible, the originally booked nightly rate may be subject to change and a higher rate may apply.
The difference between fares may be required in confirming such changes.

New Year’s Eve

If any night falls between 29 December and 2 January (inclusive) your booking is fully pre-paid and non-refundable. Payment will be taken at the time of booking and modifications or cancellation are not allowed.

Group Reservations of 3 rooms or more

We require a 25% deposit at the time of the booking to hold the rooms.
This will be taken at time of booking confirmation.
A further 50% is required 30 days prior to arrival.
The balance of 25% is payable 7 days prior to arrival. If the booking is cancelled after the first payment and before the 2nd payment a 10% cancellation fee applies.
If the booking is cancelled after the 2nd payment the 25% initial deposit is non-refundable.
After the final payment is made there are to be no changes or refunds. We are happy to work with guests on minor booking modifications prior to 7 days before the arrival date, availability dependent and in line with cancellation terms.
